ABOUT ME

I've been a professional drummer for over 25 years. As a teacher, live and studio drummer, my passion for playing and teaching continues to grow stronger.

DAVID BOUET

Drummer and Teacher

I feel very fortunate to have studied with some of the best drum teachers; Herve Marie at Ecole Tama-Paiste in France; Paul Elliott, Brian Green and Pete Cater at Drumtech College where I studied for 3 years and graduated with a Bmus in popular music performance. I was also able to study with Bob Armstrong, one of the most highly regarded drummers and teachers in the UK for a total of 8 years.

Over the years, I have also had regular sessions with world-class professional drummers such as Gabor Dornyei, Davide Giovannini (among others) who have shared valuable insights into their techniques, concepts and styles.

As a professional drummer, I have performed and recorded in a wide variety of musical styles in clubs as well as large venues and festivals across the UK and Europe. These performances, to name just a few, include two Glastonbury festivals, the Royal Festival Hall with a cast of 500 young singers, the Jazz Café, as well as Ronnie Scotts and Pizza express jazz clubs in Soho with my original funk band the Soul Immigrants.

I have toured the UK with La Vida Santana, one of the best Santana tribute bands in Europe and performed and recorded with jazz bands including the 1224 project, the Dylan Kay trio and the Nick Rixen trio.

I have also had the great pleasure to open for several music legends including Steve Cropper, Dr Feelgood, Sonny Landreth, Martha High and Fred Wesley (James Brown, The JB’s).
